Named on son's (Thomas W Sutton) funeral record. Many have her father as Eli Hibbs but I have yet to prove it though Eli's will lists a daughter Mary Hibbs. Eli's wife Mary's will (1822 in Bucks County) refers to all the same children (Seneca, Eli, William, Abner et al) but refers to her daughter as Mary Randal, so she either remarried to Samuel Sutton or she's the wrong Mary Hibbs.

Mount Hope Cemetery; Most people see her grave stone as saying 1888 when it says 1868. It is faded and worn. I brought the image into Photoshop and added various filters and it became obvious that it's 1868.

Sutton - At Boykins, VA on the afternoon of the 3rd inst, Mary, wife of Samuel Sutton, in the 69th year of her age. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of her daughter, Mrs Rebecca Throp, New Hope, Bucks County, PA this Saturday afternoon at 1 0'clock. Interment at Lambertville, NJ.
