MRS. EMMA ST. ONGE - MONTPELIER, June 7 — Mrs. Emma St. Onge. 66, widow of Jerry St. Onge. and a resident of Montpelier for 45 years, died last night at the Fanny Allen Hospital at Winooski Park. She was taken to the hospital Sunday after she suffered a shock at her home, 35 School St. Emma (Provencher) St. Onge, was born in St. Celestine, P.Q. Oct 9, 1882, a daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Thibodeau) Provencher. She spent her early life there and at the age of 15 went to Manchester, N.H. There she was married on Nov. 12, 1900 to Jerry St. Onge and the couple came to Montpelier a few years later where she had since made her home. Mr. St. Onge died here 23 years ago. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Burns and four grandchildren, Mrs. Leon J (Elaine St Onge) Roy, and Leon J. St. Onge, Robert and John Burns, all of Montpelier. Mrs. St. Onge's only son, Emilien died a number of years ago. She also leaves four sisters, Mrs Alfred Bellernore of Manchester, NH, Mrs Ulysses Cormier of Montpelier, Mrs. Henry Roberts of Williston and Mrs. Philip LaCourse of Drummondville, PQ. She was a member of St. Augustine's Church, the St Vincent de Paul Society in Montpelier and the St. Anne Society in Barre.

Funeral of Mrs. Emma St. Onge - MONTPELIER, June 9 — Funeral services for Mrs. Emma St. Onge, of 38 School street, widow of Jerry St. Onge, were held this morning at 9 in St. Augustine's Church. Rev. Howard Harris, S. J., officiated at the high mass of requiem. The funeral was largely attended. Delegations were present from the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Montpelier and the St. Anne Society at Barre of which Mrs. St. Onge was a member. Bearers were six nephews, Edward Cormier, Emillien Cormier, of Montpelier, Edward Roberts, Emile Roberts of Williston, William Provencher and Wilfred Provencher of Worcester, Mass. Mrs. George Thornton was organist. Burial was in the family lot in the Catholic Cemetery.
