Mix-up on County Ticket Likely to Remain Unresolved Until Fusionists Act - The list of candidates to be supported by the Republicans of this city for membership in the Republican State Committee as agreed upon by members of the Republican City Committee was made public yesterday. Nominating petitions to have the names upon the primary ballot are being circulated and will be filed with the Secretary cf the Commonwealth by Harry Wittig, secretary of the City Committee. Louis Sutton, fifty-five years old, a Municipal Court tipstaff died yesterday at his home, 107 West Seymour Street, after an illness of about a year. Mr Sutton was a well-known politician in the Twenty-second Ward, having held many city positions and had been in the Municipal Court ever since it was founded. Previously he was connected to the Highway Department.

Factions at War in Germantown - Being Closely Drawn Impending Political Struggle - Elwood Sutton, one of the members of the city committee of the Union party from the 22d ward, said to a reporter for The Philadelphia Times yesterday that he does not doubt that Mr. Seeds will be nominated for Select Council by the Union Party in the 22d ward. "There are serveral strong reasons," said Mr Sutton, "why he should be nominated. One is that his nomination would strengthen the Union party ticket and would doubtless carry it to victory in one ward at least...."

Sutton - Sept 10 1916 - Louis Elwood, husband of Eleanor Sutton and son of late Thomas W and Henrietta W Sutton, aged 55 years. Relatives and friends and all organizations of which he was a member, are invited to attend funeral services Wednesday, 2 PM at his late residence. 107 W Seymour St Germantown. Interment Ivy Hill Cemetery. Remains may be viewed Tuesday evening.
