Leon Joseph Roy, 9A formerly a Manchester, NH, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016. in Chandler, AZ. He was born on September 16, 19, in Keene, New Hampshire to Arthur and Marie (Fallon) Roy, and is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elaine (St Onge) Roy; sons, Douglas Roy and his wife, Hilda, Brian Roy and his wife, Sheryl; daughters, Judith Soucy and her husband, Robert, Rebecca Smith and her husband. Robert; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sister Barbara Fee and son Michael R. Leon spent 90 years on this earth and didn't waste a minute of it. After high school, He joined the Air Force and served during WWII. Shortly after, he married Elaine, started a family and spent his early married life A Montpelier, VT. He then moved to Manchester, NH and worked for 30 years at The Hartford Insurance Company. After retirement, Leon traveled the U.S. and resided for the last 20 years in Arizona. Leon was a loving husband, father, traveler, outdoorsman and sports fan. He painted, gardened, read and loved his BBQ_He was a friend to all, unselfish with his time, and had a deep faith in Christ. His love will endure. A prayer service will be held on Saturday. October 1, 2016 at 10:00 a_tn. at Queen Heaven Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home, 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, Arizona.
